The following table lists common subject terms for book searches in both the Morrisville College libraries online catalog and for searches in WorldCat if you are looking for books available in other libraries that can be obtained through interlibrary loan (instructions for interlibrary loan requests appear in a separate section on this page).Use the basic search mode for single word or phrase searches. In the search option drop down menu, select "Keyword(s) in subject." If your search term is a phrase (two or more words, be sure to set the Words Adjacent option to "yes."
If you wish to conduct a search that involves multiple concepts, for example, pediatric nursing for cancer patients, use the advanced search mode. For each search box, select the "Keyword(s) in subject" option and enter a single search concept in the search box. For the example, one search term is "pediatric nursing" and the other search term is "cancer."

Find Nursing Books in the Norwich Library
- use the advanced search option in the online catalog
- set one search box to "Keyword(s)in subject" and enter "nurs*" in the search box
- set a second search box to "Document Type" and enter "norwich"
Interlibrary Loan
Morrisville College students and faculty may request books through interlibrary loan free of charge. To use this service you must set up an interlibrary loan account. This is a simple procedure and establishes an account where you can place interlibrary loan requests for books and journal articles.To look for books in other libraries, use WorldCat, a database of United States and world academic and research library book collections. To request a book
- open your interlibrary loan account and under "New Request" select "Book"
- open a second browser window to conduct a search in WorldCat
- in the results list, click on the title of the book you wish to request to open the full book description
- click on the "Find More Information" link located next to "External Resources:"
- another browser window will open with information about the book, click on the "try interlibrary loan" link near the bottom of the page
- your interlibrary loan book request form should appear with the book information fields filled in; check the form for accuracy and click the submit button to complete your request
- you will receive an e-main notification when the book arrives
- pick up the book at the library circulation desk
- the length of the borrowing time is determined by the lending library, renewals can be requested.
